The Sport

Polo is a team sport on horseback that dates back to the 6th century CE. The goal of players is to score points for their team by scoring goals. Players use a long wooden mallet to drive a small white ball into these goals. Horses need to have speed, agility, and endurance. Historically the term "pony" was used to describe a polo mount. Today the mounts are any full-sized horse with the ability to play the sport.

Competing

Regular Matches

In a standard match a player will enter with their "string". This contains two horses and a rider. These strings will be randomized into two teams that will compete in the game. A player may only enter 3 unique strings per game.

note: In the original proposal players were required to enter with four horses. This has been lessened to encourage participation.

Team Matches

Here players will enter their strings based on their corresponding team on OTB. The match will consist of two teams competing against each other.
